Brisa Amir

Brisa Amir paints through textures in her studio and its peripheries. Her practice embraces unfinished spaces - cracks in walls, rainwater stains, and the imprints of everyday movement - creating collage - based paintings rooted in paper’s fragility and resistance. Her walks become acts of noticing and collecting, stitching together urban traces into visual botanical rhythms.In 2024, she expanded into multidisciplinary work under the moniker Fiery Daisy, exploring sound, design, and new media, while also launching her curatorial initiative The 5th House.A BFA Painting graduate from the University of the Philippines, she held her first solo exhibition at Artinformal in 2018, followed by a solo presentation at the inaugural S.E.A. Focus art fair in Singapore in 2019, a feature in Artforum, and a cover feature in Vogue Philippines in 2023.She received the Ateneo Art Awards Embassy of Italy Purchase Prize in 2021. Her work continues to be seen in local and regional exhibitions, including UP Vargas Museum and a collaboration with the Embassy Of Spain.
